So you created your character and had spend your first day greeting and meeting. Well your first year will be busy on coral island. This post will be about the mining part. Note depending on what you focus on first the story will be a little different in order but I really don’t think there is a “correct way” after your first day.
Mining= Danger?
To be able to start mining you first meet the townsperson Mark (in about seven days in Coral Island time) who tells you how to get to the cavern and that it is now open. His Band of Smiles had cleared a few top levels and that there are monsters in there.
My character Kyle has decided to start mining. There are four shafts you have to complete. They each have 40 floor levels. They each have their own design to them and have certain ores you will need to build and create things with. They are listed as follows:
- Earth – Is the first one you have access to. It has bronze ores.
- Water- has silver ores and can give bronze ores.
- Air- has gold ores
- Fire- has osmium ores
As said, the cavern has 40 floor levels and it will take a while to get through because of the time limit per day you have. Sometimes you will get lucky and find the shaft (picture of what it looks like below) to take you to the next level down quickly, sometimes you will be there for days.
Floors, Floors and More Floors
The levels are as follows: Entrance , floor one, floor five, floor 10, floor 15, floor 20, floor 25, floor 30, floor 35 and floor 40. Every five floors is an elevator except for floors 30-40. So if you run out of time or food and you’re stuck at floor 37, the next day you’re starting at floor 30. Make sure you have enough food at least.
Doing the cavern will have another quest pop-up with an creature called the Chieftain, who needs your help in finding what happened and to free his friends. His friends were down in the cavern and three are the statues that represents each cave entrance.
Once you clear all four caverns you hand in each quest to the Chieftain. You also receive the achievement of Darkest Cavern and you’re done with the first part. Wait there’s more? Well kind of you’ll be back there depending on what items you need to craft.
The Chieftain and Pals!
The Cheiftain friends are as follows:
- Giu- Fire giant
- Gong- Water giant
- Grog- Earth giant
- Groo- Wind (Air) giant
My next post is a continuation of the caverns. The monsters that are down there, what weapons you get to fight them and much more.
